“Then I looked on all the tweets that my hands had wrote, and, behold, all was crazy and fun.”
Ecclesiastes 2:11
I collected some ironic parallels between the Scripture and life as observed on Twitter, which I found curious to mention. Each time, it was something real, not invented by me, and that’s what made them special.
The first one that caught my attention was the preferred lifestyle formula, promoted by some advanced individuals, aimed at codifying an ideal way of living.
“In the sweat of thy face shalt thou work to support thy preferred lifestyle, till thou return unto the ground”
Genesis is highly symbolic when it comes to reflection. Here are two versions of Genesis 1:31 that address the modern man's simple desire to find a greater meaning in life.
“And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very beautiful and well-functioning”
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was magic. And the rest was science. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
And, of course, John 1:1 will never be ignored.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. That Word transformed chaos into order at the beginning of time. The Word that produces order from Chaos sacrifices everything, even itself, to God.”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough emails of its own.” Matthew 6:34
In retrospect, things always seem logical.
“Success brings wisdom” Ecclesiastes 10:10
I like Daniel because he often provides a reason for another quote.
“Strike out the bee in thine own bonnet before thou would’st strike out the bat in the belfry of another!”
Matthew 7:3 by my friend @eoin_macmahon
“The righteous do perish in their righteousness, as the wicked live long, eat well and get a state funeral in the end.”
Ecclesiastes 7:15
'Believe ye that I am able to give you the blue check freely? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their accounts, saying, According to your credentials be it unto you.'
